I met up with a few friends at this coffee shop, and it turned out to be a great place to catch up. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with plenty of comfortable seating where we could sit and talk without feeling rushed. I ordered an iced latte, while everyone else tried different coffees and teas, and we all enjoyed our drinks. Everything tasted fresh, and the coffee was smooth without being too bitter. We also shared a couple of pastries that paired perfectly with our drinks. The staff was welcoming, our orders came out quickly, and the café was clean and inviting. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend an hour or two chatting, and I'd definitely come back the next time we want to meet over coffee.

My buddy Caleb recommended this place to me as a fellow caffeine addict. I love how chill this place is. The staff and atmosphere are so welcoming. They definitely know how to make perfect drinks. If you need a good place to relax and do some work on your laptop or read a book, it's a great option, please check this place out when you can. Absolutely wipes the floor with places like Biggby and Starbucks and doesn't have the gross corporate feel. Attached are a few photos to give you an idea of what to expect! 😀☕

Incredible coffee, immaculate vibes, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve lived in four different states and gone to multiple roasters in all of them. No one compares to Lantern. Their house made oat milk is fantastic. All their specialty coffees slap. And they’re one of my favorite places to hang out in Grand Rapids. If you haven’t been here yet, you definitely need to visit.

Love the vibes here and lower lighting! As a neurodivergent person, the lower stimulation is appreciated😊 Great variety of drinks, as well as unique ones (ie pineapple matcha?!). I ordered an iced lavender latte with oat milk, it was tasty! I prefer other coffee beans over theirs, however, it wouldn’t prevent me from visiting here. They have a nice cozy location within walking distance of many apartment complexes and workplaces!

Decent coffee shop in the downtown area. Ordered the Carrot Cake Latte, and it was okay; nothing to write home about. The best attribute of this place is the space it has to get work done. The lower-level is darker and cozier so it’s great to dial in some work. Staff seemed friendly enough, but nobody went above and beyond by any means. Not the best coffee in downtown IMO, but not horrible either
